This is the first book of the Abracadabra Mystery series, so in this book we will meet all the main characters and start making the connections between them. There seems to be a few ghosts in Kailyn's life, I hope we will learn a little bit more of them in the next book!
I haven't read a lot of books that talk about magic and spells, but I have to admit that sometimes I would like to think that magic exists and that with the power the people make good thinks with it!
Something that I missed in this book was to know a little bit more of the customer of the shop, why they needed the "balsams and the spells" they bought and if they work, of course! (I love gossiping!)
This is one of those mysteries that everyone could be the killer, but of course the main police suspect is completely innocent and our Kailyn will have to find the real murderer! It was funny that one of the detectives of the case could be a suspect too, if he has a motive, why not? The problem is that maybe in the next cases their relation will not be as smooth... they will have to learn to help each other!
I loved the presence of the mysterious guest, I will not make any spoiler, just to say that it puts a touch of humour in the mystery, you will love it!
In this book we will find a lot of magic, some love sparks and some cute cats... perfect for witch lovers, don't you think?
